Pro-Life Powerhouse Alabama Citizens for Life Backs Jay Mitchell for Attorney General

BIRMINGHAM, AL—Former Supreme Court Justice and Alabama Attorney General candidate Jay Mitchell today announced the endorsement of Alabama Citizens for Life, the state affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee and one of the most influential pro-life organizations in Alabama.

Alabama Citizens for Life President Dan Gardner praised Mitchell’s leadership on pro-life issues as being “second-to-none,” citing his exceptional record on the Alabama Supreme Court. 

Mitchell said, “For over 20 years, I’ve been marching in lockstep with Alabama’s pro-life movement, fighting alongside my fellow conservatives to protect the unborn and defend Alabama’s Constitution. It’s a profound honor to be designated as their ‘Pro-Life Leader’ in this race.”

Mitchell also made clear that, as Attorney General, he will advance the pro-life mission: “Alabama needs an Attorney General who will go on offense for life. I won’t look the other way while abortion pills flood into our state through the mail. I will enforce the law and prosecute any illegal attempts to expand abortion in the state of Alabama.”
