Meet Jay

Rooted in Alabama

Born in Mobile and raised in the Wiregrass and Homewood, Jay graduated from Homewood High School and earned his B.A. with honors at Birmingham‑Southern College, where he was president of the student body and played forward on the 1995 national championship basketball team. He later received his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Jay and his wife, Elizabeth, have been married for 23 years and live in Homewood with their four children. They are longtime members of Church of the Highlands and volunteer in ministries that serve families across Alabama.

From Alabama's Highest Court to Top Law Enforcement Office

First elected to the Alabama Supreme Court in 2018, Jay built a reputation for rock-solid conservative opinions that protect life, liberty, and the Constitution. Now he’s ready to continue that mission in the Attorney General’s Office. He'll hold criminals accountable, pursue mass deportations of illegal aliens, and root out public corruption.

Courtroom Experience You Can Trust

Before joining the Court, Jay was a nationally recognized courtroom lawyer, trying complex cases to verdict, handling high‑stakes appeals, and earning the highest possible ethics rating from his peers. He is ready to put his considerable experience to work for the people of Alabama, so we can help President Trump defeat wokeism once and for all.
