Colbert County Sheriff Eric Balentine Endorses Jay Mitchell for Alabama Attorney General

BIRMINGHAM, AL—Colbert County Sheriff Eric Balentine today announced his endorsement of Jay Mitchell for Attorney General of Alabama, citing Mitchell’s proven record of standing with law enforcement and presiding over the state’s toughest criminal cases as an Alabama Supreme Court Justice.

“Jay Mitchell is the kind of leader law enforcement can count on,” said Sheriff Balentine. “He understands that protecting Alabama starts with protecting the men and women who risk their lives every day in the line of duty. Jay will fight to strengthen protections for law enforcement officers, expand access to mental health resources for first responders, and make sure we have what we need to keep Alabama safe.
