JAY'S STORY

Jay's Record

Jay's distinguished record reflects his steadfast commitment to upholding the rule of law and preserving the values that are the foundation of the great state of Alabama.

Judicial Courage

Jay wrote key opinions that pointed out the flaws of Roe v. Wade (well before the U.S. Supreme Court overruled it), strengthened the courts' ability to turn away weak death-penalty appeals, and criticized the Southern Poverty Law Center and the ACLU for using woke vocabulary like preferred gender pronouns in their advocacy to the Alabama Supreme Court.

Highly Productive

During Jay's first years at the Court, he has been at or near the very top when it comes to moving cases and writing opinions.

Training and Equipping the Next Generation of Conservative Judges and Lawyers

Jay's law clerks - sharp, young attorneys who work with him on a daily basis - are among the top conservative legal minds in the country. Three of them are going to clerk for one of Jay's judicial heroes, Justice Clarence Thomas, at the U.S. Supreme Court.

Endorsements

Jay continues to earn endorsements from key trade organizations across Alabama, reflecting his deep understanding of our state's vital industries. With the backing of the Alabama Farmers Federation, the Alabama Forestry Association, the Alabama Trucking Association, and Manufacture Alabama, Jay serves as a champion for hardworking Alabamians who help make our state's economy strong and prosperous.
